Angie Fenton is the official Louisville Lightning on-camera reporter and a lifelong soccer fan who began playing the game at the age of 7. Angie is also The Dish columnist for
The Voice Tribune and regularly serves up the inside scoop on the hottest happenings in town with
Ron ‘n’ Mel of 84WHAS on Saturday mornings.
Angie recently partnered with Churchill Downs,
KentuckyDerby.com and KentuckyOaks.com as an entertainment reporter. She has made numerous appearances on area radio and TV stations — including WAVE 3, WHAS 11, FOX 41, WGZB 96.5 FM, WXMA 102.3 FM, WDJX 99.7 FM and WFPK 91.9 FM — and served as host of “Guest List,” an entertainment program, produced by Chris Rich, that aired on The CW. Angie also works as a freelancer for McGraw-Hill textbook company as both a scriptwriter and on-camera personality of DVDs that accompany textbooks used in college classrooms around the globe.
Angie has a bachelor’s and a master’s in English Language and Literature from Central Michigan University and is the General Education Department Chair at Brown Mackie College-Louisville. Raised by a single mother who believed in volunteerism, Angie mentors several formerly-homeless families and commits time to numerous charity organizations, including the
Homeless Coalition of Louisville,
FEAT (Families for Effective Autism Treatment) and the
Louisville Orchestra. Additionally, Angie frequently hosts and emcees events and galas in the Kentuckiana area that benefit charity.
Angie is the youngest of five and a Michigan native. She and her three dogs have called Louisville home since June 2002.
