Year in School: Senior, University of Louisville
Background: In 2007 Michael worked for the Louisville Fire arena football team. He helped with game day operations and promotions. In 2008 he became the color commentator for the Louisville Fire on ESPN radio. He also did fill in play-by-play work for the Fire when needed. At the beginning of 2009 he began a seven month internship on the radio with a sports talk morning show called the “Early Birds” on 790 WKRD.
Goals For this Organization: Michael’s goal for the organization is to help it succeed in every way possible. As the PA announcer, he wants to make the games exciting for all of the fans, as well as inform them of what is going on during the game. On the advertising end, Michael wants to do everything in his power to help promote the Lightning and get the name out there. He wants to do his part to try and help sell out all of the games. With sponsorships Michael wants to continue to help find the right sponsors for the Lightning.
Career Goals: His career goals are first and foremost to be successful. He hopes that by working with various sports organizations and combining the broadcasting experience he already has that his career is on the right track. Michael would like to work in sales and sponsorships however, his dream job would be to be a broadcaster for a NBA, NFL, or MLB franchise.
