Title: Director of Game Day Operations
Year in school: 1st Year Master’s of Sports Administration
Background:
Jim graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Administration. While at the University of Illinois participated on the U of I Athletic Board and NCAA Self-Study Recertification Process. He previously worked and interned with The Louisville Sports Commission, The Mid-South Conference (NAIA), and head coach for the Champaign Centennial High School Lacrosse team in Champaign, IL. Jim is currently the Sports Administration Club President at the University of Louisville.
Goals for this organization:
To bring past experience from previous internships and jobs to help the Louisville Lightning become one of the premier organizations in the Professional Arena Soccer League. Jim is very excited to be a part of the inaugural Louisville Lightning season, and hoping to set the standard for the league’s operation’s protocol.
Career Goals:
After graduation in Spring of 2011, he is looking to start out in operations at the collegiate or professional level. He also eventually is hoping to move into fundraising at the intercollegiate level, and one day be an athletic director at a NCAA institution.
