Kate began dancing at age 5, and she continued to take studio dance classes until she was 17. As a member of Allegro Dance Studio in
Radcliff, Kentucky, Kate danced in multiple performances a year from 1998-2007. From 2004-2007, Kate was on Fort Knox High School’s
competitive dance team, which she was named captain of her senior year.  Kate began dancing professionally in 2007 when she danced for Louisville Fire Football’s dance team, the Wildfires, during the organization’s last season. In the summer of 2009 she was on the Louisville Saints dance team, the Lady Saints. Kate is very proud and excited to be on the first dance team for the Louisville Lightning.

What is your most memorable moment in your dance career?  NDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida in 2006
 

What three words best describe you?  Compassionate, Quirky, Easy-Going
 

Hobbies and Interests:  Besides dancing, I like to play with my dog, visit with my family, hang out with my friends, read, watch movies, and anything summer.
 

Favorite TV shows: Gossip Girl, Hoarders, Intervention, The Nanny, Family Guy, Entourage, Hung (to name a few)
 

Most prized possession: My dog, LuLu, but she’s more of a person/companion than a “possession.”
 

Favorite guilty pleasure: Eating junk food.
 

Favorite quote: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift; that’s why it is called the present.”
 

What is the best part about being a professional dancer?  Getting the fans pumped up at the games!
 

Favorite movie:  I have so many, there’s no way I can pick just one!
 

Favorite music group/artist: Weezy; Lady GaGa; Death Cab for Cutie; Brand New; Ryan Adams…I could go on forever.
