Lightning Strive to Take Another Win on the Road
The Kansas Magic are a newer team in the PASL-Professional Division, but they started off the season with a bang. They won their first three games of the 2011-2012 PASL Season, until giving up a close game at home. That loss at home came at the hands of the Louisville Lightning, despite winning the week before against the best team in the Eastern Division, the Detroit Waza.
The Louisville Lightning will be hoping to take another game away from the Magic on the road. The Lightning are currently in second in the East after overtaking the Magic only weeks prior. Even though they are sitting in the second spot, nothing is a guarantee at this point. The Lightning are in dire need of another “W,” so they can keep on pace with the Waza and stay in front of the rest of the pack.
Against the Lightning
Despite their loss to the Lightning on December 3rd, the Magic are looking like a strong team. They are the only team to take down the Waza, thus far, and they had a very good outing against the Lightning when they played. The game ended in a 8-6 win for the Lightning, but it was no walk in the park for the Louisville boys.
Players to Know
The Kansas Magic have a bunch of quality players, but there are a couple that stick out above the rest. What makes it that much better is that these two players are brothers. Randall and Brett Porter combine for 21 points so far this season, with 11 from Randall and 10 from Brett. It may be the innate sense for family blood, but Randall and Brett seem to be unstoppable when they are playing on the pitch together. Randall is a stonewall back on defense, while Brett controls the midfield with his confident play. They will be some tough opponents for the Louisville Lightning this Sunday evening.
When We Will See Them
Kansas will come to Louisville Friday, February 3rd.
