The Molly Malone’s World Cup Shootout is a competition that will be held at a break during the Louisville Lightning’s remaining home games. Molly Malone’s will select two contestants on game weeks from the customers at either of their two locations (933 Baxter Avenue and 3900 Shelbyville Road). These contestants will compete by shooting five penalty shots each, at a tended goal. The contestant that makes the most penalty shots will win a $25 gift card to Molly Malone’s and will be invited back to the final home game of the regular season to compete for the Grand Prize. At the final home game the four winners will compete again. The winner will receive an autographed soccer ball from the Louisville Lightning, a $50 gift card to Molly Malone’s, and an invitation to the Louisville Lightning’s end of the season party held at Molly Malone’s. The first competition will begin this Friday, January 22, 2009 when the Louisville Lightning take on the St. Louis Illusion.
