Brief Story: Matthew Kowaleski is a first year player for the Louisville Lightning Professional Indoor Soccer Team. He has been playing soccer his entire life, most recently for the Lightning rivals, the Cincinnati Kings during the 2008-2009 season. Kowaleski also played youth soccer in his home state of Ohio for both the Dayton Galaxies, and Team Dayton. He also captained both of those squads. Matthew played collegiate soccer for Centre College, in which he was awarded the Kent Starkweather Award for the Most Inspirational Player of the Year. 

Awards and Honors: Matthew was awarded the Kent Starkweather Award during his senior season at Centre College. The award goes to the Most Inspirational Player of the Year. Kowaleski was also Captain of both the Dayton Galaxies and Team Dayton.
