What is your most memorable soccer moment: I have a few and my first is scoring the wining goal in the Patriot League final in 2007. Our team secured Colgate’s first Patriot League Championship and NCAA Tournament bid in over 40 years and turning around scoring another goal against USF in a 2-1 first round loss. My second is being able to take the next step professionally in outdoor soccer playing for Bayamon F.C amd training for the Islanders in Puerto Rico and captaining the team to their first PRSL title and CONCACAF qualifying spot. I hope to keep training and be a member of the Islanders early next year.
Who was your favorite coach and why? Roger Guiseppi, which was Glenn’s coach during his LFC years. He contributed to my growth and development as young soccer player. He never let me settle and was constantly pushing me to get better instilling confidence and a work ethic that still drives me today to take the most from every situation and leave everything on the field no matter what the situation is.
What would you recommend to young players who want to become professional athlete? First of all, and I’m sure you hear this all too often, is you have to work hard and working hard will get you farther than you ever imagined. Never settle and strive to become the best you can be, maximize your best soccer qualities and then take advantage of them, and finally have fun and enjoy every moment.
